Malachi 3:10 states, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse (the place you receive the Word of God), that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it" Tithing is giving the first 10% of your gross income to the church where you are spiritually fed. We bring our tithe not only because it is God's commandment, but also as a covenant with Him. He then confirms his covenant with us by pouring out His blessing on us. His blessing to us is His supernatural empowerment to prosper and increase us.
